From the pioneers like Jenner and Pasteur to our time, vaccination has saved many lives. Some fatal infections have been eradicated. Many are better controlled. Of all the achievements of western medicine, vaccination is probably one of the most important ones. But outbreaks are still there and vaccination is still needed.
